This time of year is always one of endings and beginnings.  Some may be truly excited about closing the door on 2011 because the year proved to be one of hardships and struggle.  While others are not quite ready to let go of the old year and dive into the uncertainty of a new one.

Regardless of where you are, the new year will be upon us in less than 48 hours.  You have a choice as to how you will embrace the new year.  If you enter it with resistance, resistance on many levels will be returned to you.  Yet if you embrace the unknown of a new year and let it unfold before you with excitement, faith, and peace, those will be returned to you as well. 

The only true constant in life is change, yet many of us do everything in our power to avoid it.  We want to remain in our comfort zone, but in reality, our comfort zone is really our resistance zone.

If I could watch you read this, you might actually have a puzzled look on your face.  I am not talking about New Year’s Resolutions because those are not sustaining.  A resolution is generally one vague thought with nothing to support it.   Resolutions usually begin to dissolve mid to late January.
